Photo: A Siberian tiger grooming

Siberian tiger

Siberian (or Amur) tigers are the world's largest cats. They live primarily in eastern Russia's birch forests, though some exist in China and North Korea. There are an estimated 400 to 500 Siberian tigers living in the wild, The only wild population of this tiger left in the world can be found in North Eastern China, the Amur region in Russia’s far east and a very few in North Korea. The total population of all the Siberian Tigers, both wild and in captive breeding programs is less than 600, classifying them as Critically Endangered by the IUCN. An adult male can weigh up to 320 kg, but recent breeding programs have noted the Siberian Tiger’s weight to average 215 kg still not a creature I would want to run into on a dark night.

Emergency!!!

This majestic creature are facing a serious problem of extinction as a lot of people ignoring their right by destroying their habitat, Illegal hunt and other harmful action silently done by us. Serious enforcement should be taken to save the Siberian tiger if we don't want to loss this species as what Tasmanian tiger had to pay due to human cruelty. If we love the Siberian tiger, we need to MOVE now!!!
